Does Jax LB have a leader

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Every year it happens. An unknown prospect comes to the NIKE camp, shows out, turns heads and begins to pick up scholarship offers. Such is the case with Jacksonville (Fla.) Raines linebacker Kion Wilson.
"I have started since my sophomore year," Wilson said. "I started out playing defensive end, but then I got moved to linebacker. Most colleges are recruiting me to play safety. I am still learning the linebacker position a little."

It seems as though Wilson has picked things up well as he has earned scholarship offers from Ole Miss, Middle Tennessee State, Wake Forest and Maryland.
"I have a great coach that really breaks thing down," Wilson said. "I think my biggest strength is my aggressiveness. Sometimes it hurts too though because I bite on the play too quickly and over run it. I am very good at reading my keys and things. I still have the urge to play linebacker, but everyone sees me as a safety in college."
The 6-foot-0, 203-pound Wilson attended the NIKE camp in Tallahassee where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.94 seconds and posted a 31-inch vertical jump.
"I'm really looking at everyone that has offered and Clemson is also looking at me really hard," Wilson said. "I am going to take some visits this fall and I am going to be watching teams closely. I want to go in and help a team and I want to make the right decision. Making my decision is probably going to take a while."
One school on Wilson's list seems to have a lead over all of the other schools at this point.
"I really like Maryland a lot," Wilson said. "It's a great school. The coach that is recruiting me broke down everything for me. I have some family that lives up there too, so that would be cool to live near them. I'm still into other schools, but right now I'm real impressed with Maryland and I'm looking forward to visiting up there this fall."
