Doering lands two PAC-10 offers

The early scholarship offers continue to pour in for's Top 100 prospect Dan Doering from Barrington (Ill.), and this time it's two PAC-10 conference schools who have jumped into the Dan Doering sweepstakes.
According to Dan Doering, "I have received two more scholarship offers. Both Arizona and USC have offered me a scholarship. I received the paperwork over the last few days from both schools."
Doering, who already has scholarship offers from several Big Ten schools, now has begun to see his recruiting interest soar nation-wide, and his offer from the co-National Champions certainly peaked Doering's attention. "I called the coaches from USC today, and I talked to them for about an hour," Dan Doering said. "I talked to several of the assistants, then Coach (Pete) Carroll grabbed the phone and we had a good conversation. The USC coaches had received my tape that I recently sent out, and Coach Carroll explained that they generally don't recruit too many kids outside of California, but that they feel that I showed a lot of abilities that they are looking for in a player, so they decided to make me an offer. I'm very excited about getting an offer from the University of Southern California."
Doering, when asked who his early favorites are, stated that, "it's still way too early for me to start to begin to name any real favorites at this point. I'm just flattered that I have so many opportunities right now, and I'm just going to look at all of the schools who have offered me."
