Doering draws well over 30 callers

Barrington, Ill. five star ranked offensive tackle prospect Dan Doering (6-foot-6, 290 pounds) has drawn well over 30 calls from college coaches from across the country so far in the month of September, and trying to reach the Doering house in September could be compared to trying to reach say Ticketmaster for your favorite concert tickets.
"I've received well over 30 calls so far," Dan Doering said. "The first night alone I received over 20 calls. I basically received calls from every school that has offered me. I really don't even have a list of who called because it was just crazy the first few nights."

Doering did talk with a few head coaches.
"I did talk with Tyrone Willingham from Notre Dame and Phillip Fulmer from Tennessee the first night that the coaches were allowed to make calls. We basically talked about my season so far as well as how each program was doing and what my role would be at each school."
Doering also is looking to narrow down his favorites list soon, as well as trying to manage the heavy amount of callers.
"Basically I'll talk to anyone, and I hate not being able to be accessible for everyone who calls, but I also have school as well as my season to focus on. I'm going to narrow things down as far as from just a phone call perspective. I'm hoping to set up a calling schedule for the coaches set by the days of the week, this way I can be available for the coaches as well as being able to get my homework done."
Doering, who is already planning to make official visits to Iowa, Notre Dame and Nebraska, will be in South Bend on Saturday.
"I'm going to be at the Michigan/Notre Dame game this Saturday in South Bend. I'm hoping to get in some college games this fall, but it just depends upon my schedule. I'm hoping to check out games this fall at Iowa, Ohio State, Michigan and Nebraska. Again, it all depends on my team's schedule."
