Dodge City WR could be a catch

Dodge City, Kan., is home to a group of Kansas top players, but so far the lion's share of attention has been on quarterback Kale Pick. However, the guy catching all of Pick's passes is also a pretty legit Division I prospect.
Meet Mykael Thompson, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound receiver that put up good numbers as a junior.

Thompson is still searching for his first scholarship offer, but that's not stopped him from getting plenty of attention.
"I've been to Kansas for a visit," Thompson said. "It went real well. I like the campus there. The facilities are real nice. They toured us through their stadium and then took us through their weight room and training facilities. Then we went through the locker room and to a Kansas basketball game."
"Recently Arkansas has been talking to me. Plus, I've gotten a couple letters from Kansas State."
Thompson said Kansas looks to be the team that's highest on his list at this point and location would be a factor.
"Yeah, I'd like to stay pretty close to my family," he said. "I grew up following Kansas State. I went to a lot of their games. I really liked them a lot. But since Kansas is showing me the most interest, I'm probably highest on them."
Thompson is working hard at improving his game.
"I'd like to work on my blocking this year," he said. "I've put on about five pounds, but I'm working on that right now. My biggest strength is probably my leaping ability."
