Dodge City OL taking calls

Dodge City (Kan.) Dodge City C.C. three-star offensive guard Sylvester Hatten played as a true freshman at Alabama State, but he transferred to Dodge City so he could get a shot at playing Division I college football.
So far the move looks like it might pay off as he's getting several high-quality teams calling him.

"University of Miami, Louisville, Iowa State, Kentucky and Marshall are the ones that have been in contact," he said. "Everyone has come in and asked for film. I guess they haven't had scouts at our games yet. But Marshall was at our practice last week."
He's also looking at Florida and Florida State, but the two Florida teams haven't really shown much interest at this point. He admits he grew up a big Florida Gator fan, though. He's going to work on lining up official visits here over the next couple of weeks.
Things haven't gotten off to a good start at Dodge City. The team was expected to have a big season after finishing with a winning record last season. However, that's going to be tough to replicate this year.
"I've done pretty good, but our team hasn't," he said. "I've made some big plays and am doing well, but we're 0-4. I'm just hoping we turn things around, and that I can get to a good school. I'm looking for a good tradition. I'm looking for a big school that's good both in academics and in football."
