Dodge City OL commits

After a rough start to the season, Dodge City (Kan.) Community College is finally starting to turn things around.
It's won two straight league games and it looks like the Division I schools are starting to make some offers to the school's top players.

Dodge City assistant and recruiting coordinator Jared Powers said Troy offered three of his players last week and it didn't take one of those players long to jump on the offer.
"Tim Ward has committed to Troy," Powers said. "He's a very talented offensive lineman. He's about 6-4 and 305 pounds. He was a first-team preseason All-American and is a good get for them. He's originally from Alabama, so it's close to home for him."
Ward originally signed with Troy out of high school and was also was a second team all-Jayhawk Conference player in 2005. He will have three years to play two seasons.
Ward isn't the only Conquistador player to get offered by Troy.
Three-star offensive lineman Sylvester Hatten picked up a Troy offer and defensive tackle Kellen Belcher also added one.
"Both guys say they're going to keep their options open at this point," Powers said. "Kellen is really getting a lot of interest from Kansas State. They haven't offered him yet, but they're very interested in him and probably will get him up there on an official visit."
