Kingsport (Tenn.) Dobyns Bennett is home to a couple prospects to watch in 2013. Recruiting is just starting to pick up for the recruits, though no offers have come to date.
"Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Mississippi State, Appalachian State and the Ivy League are interested," Dobyns Bennett assistant Michael Holt said of athlete Malik Foreman.
He touched on his prospect in-depth.
"He came on this year and in one half he scored a touchdown three different ways," he said. "Malik is a player, he's one of those kids on defense that is a lockdown corner for us and on offense, he caught some incredible balls. He ran away from people and made some tough ones, he's a tough kid. He also had three or four punts for touchdowns and one or two kickoff returns for touchdowns."
Meanwhile, his teammate, running back Devaun Swafford is also beginning to get some looks.
"You put the ball in his hands and he is nasty on defense," he said. "This kid as far as smoothness will run over you, he's that type of kid. He's not really big, but he's got some moves."
According to Holt, both are academically set.
"Both are going to qualify," he said. "Malik's parents are engineers and he's taking honors classes, Devaun will be good too."
