Doakes looks back on two camps

The last time we caught up with Arthur Doakes the massive lineman from the Keystone State said he was gearing up for camps at several schools.
That was in early June, and the 6-foot-6, 350-pound offensive guard said he was hoping to visit West Virginia, Notre Dame, Michigan State and Maryland.

With June now behind him, Doakes has visited just two of those schools. Apparently both trips went well and gave him a lot to think about.
Doakes' offer list -- Pitt, Rutgers and Troy -- looks the same as it did a month ago, except he has added an offer from Syracuse.
"I've been to West Virginia's camp and Michigan State's camp," Doakes said.
Perhaps a bit surprisingly, Doakes sounded unenthusiastic about his performance at those camps, though he said he enjoyed his time at both.
"West Virginia's camp went alright. That was the first time I had been to a camp like that, so I guess I did alright. The coaches said they wanted more film. They'll probably wait until they see some of my senior film. Michigan State said the same thing. They just want more film."
Doakes said Syracuse offered him on June 11. He said he has spoken to the Orange's entire coaching staff, though he does not know if he will be visiting the school any time soon.
The rising senior from Lebanon, Pennsylvania said he does not have a favorite at this point, nor does he have a time frame for making his final decision. He said he does not plan on visiting any schools or attending any camps in July.
