Recently Virginia Tech had seemed to take the lead in the recruitment of dual-threat quarterback Ike Whitaker. Do the Hokies still top his list?
"I'm looking at five schools and they're all even right now," said Whitaker. "West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Virginia and Clemson -- those are the five I've pretty much narrowed things down to. I don't have one leader among those, but I'm pretty sure I'll choose one of those five."
The 6-foot-4, 198-pound quarterback from Germantown (Md.) Northwest has led his squad to a perfect 6-0 record, and in the last game he accounted for two more touchdowns. Does he have a timeframe for when he'd like to make his decision?

"I don't even have any official visits set up yet, so I'm definitely not ready to make a decision. I'm not sure where I'll take those officials yet or when I'll set them up, but I'm pretty sure I'll go somewhere. All of them have offered me, so I might as well get out to a couple of them at least and see what it's like."
