Do Cocks still lead for Boyd

Orange, N.J. defensive back/running back Cory Boyd took his second official visit this past weekend. Do the Gamecocks still lead?

"South Carolina is still my top choice, but I liked Wisconsin," said the 6-foot-1, 186-pounder. "It was pretty cool out there, but I think South Carolina is more my style. I really liked the pace of things down in Columbia."

Boyd is set to visit Virginia on Jan. 17, Virginia Tech on Jan. 24 and Boston College on Jan. 31.

"I'll take all three of my remaining trips," he said. "Virginia Tech is probably second on my list. I like the feel of things down south and they have a great team. I prefer to play running back and most of the teams are telling me I'd get a look, but South Carolina has been recruiting me as a tailback from the start. That's important to me."
