CLASS OF 2022: Top 100

IN HIS OWN WORDS...

N.C. State: “They made the final three because of the relationship coach Wiles and me have made over the course of time since he got the job there," Sugick said. "He's been texting me and reaching out telling me how much he thinks I could impact the program. I'd rather go somewhere I am wanted, not just tolerated. That helped them make it into my top three. I was down there with my coach during my sophomore year.”

Vanderbilt: “It’s a great place," he said. "It's in the city and it's a place I could see myself spending my life in after football. I know there are a lot of opportunities for me to get a job in that area too. It's a great academic school and it's in the SEC, the best conference in college football. I like that the environment isn't overcrowded and there aren't too many distractions. You can maintain your focus and lock down so you can reach your goals.”

Wake Forest: “They have great academics and I've built a relationship with everybody on the staff, not just the defensive staff," said Sugick. "The offensive staff, head coach, and GAs have been in touch with me and my family. I feel like they have a great academic program and they are a big time ACC program. I'm close with coach Clawson, the head coach, coach Cohen, the defensive line coach, and coach Jones, the linebackers coach.”

RIVALS' REACTION...

Sugick is a very talented prospect with a ton of potential. All three of the finalists could really use a player like Sugick and they’ll surely plug him into the lineup as soon as they can. There are still a few areas of his game that need to be refined but it’s hard to teach players to play with his kind of energy. Sugick has the strength to hold up at the point of attack and understands how to use leverage to his advantage. The strength and conditioning coaches will love working with Sugick and they turn him into a multi-year contributor.
