Just days after picking up an offer from South Carolina, the momentum is continuing for Hallandale, Fla. cornerback Ricardo Dixon. The 5-10, 160-pounder picked up two more big offers on Friday and has named three early favorites.
Dixon confirmed that Tennessee and Florida State sent him written offers on Friday and while the Florida State offer was a exciting, the Tennessee offer was more aptly described as shocking.
"I hadn't talked to them at all," Dixon said of the Volunteer coaching staff. "No mail, no nothing. It just came out of nowhere. That is kind of a surprise because it came out of nowhere. It could be a good thing because it means that I'm a good athlete and they noticed me."

Dixon is familiar with the Volunteer program, but has not followed them as closely in recent years.
"Well, in the past when they were winning games and they had a couple players I like them," he said. "But not in recent years, I haven't really followed them."
The Florida State offer was less of a surprise as Dixon has built a relationship with the staff, particularly Chuck Amato.
"Me and Coach Amato we talked a lot. I had recently went up there for a Junior Day and I liked it a lot. He wasn't at the Junior Day because he came down with the flu but I called him afterwards."
Florida State sits high on the athletic cornerback's list along with two other programs.
"Right now there are three schools on top," he said. "South Carolina, North Carolina and Florida State."
One thing that is a common theme among those three schools is their mutual interest in Dixon and his good friend James Green.
"Me and him really want to go to the same school," Dixon said. "We're already saying that we're gonna wait it out and we're going to commit late in the season."
With a Nike Training Camp still on his schedule for the Spring, Dixon hopes to get to Florida State soon for a visit as well.
