Dixon waiting to make choice

Travell Dixon is now up to 10 offers with the likelihood that the Thatcher (Ariz.) Eastern Arizona JC cornerback will pick up more before he ends his recruitment because teams are coming after him all the time.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound prospect said he's nowhere near a decision and that he wants to take all his official visits this fall before pledging somewhere. His target is to get things done by October or November but even that timeline is flexible.

"I'm just doing my research on every school and I'm looking at all options no matter where it's from," Dixon said. "I'm not jumping on anything too quick. I'm not making a decision until the fall maybe around October or November.
"Location doesn't matter to me. It really doesn't matter. I just want to play football and make an impact right away. I want to be at a school where I get good coaching, develop my skills more and hopefully get a shot at the NFL."
Cal and Oregon State are the latest offers for Dixon, who already had Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Florida State, North Carolina, Texas Tech and Utah on his offer list.
Dixon said Georgia, Miami, Ole Miss and maybe even some other programs are getting involved as well but he's not sure of every school recruiting him because things are happening so fast.
"There are some more schools out there that have offered me but I haven't gotten in contact with them yet," Dixon said.
In eight games last season, Dixon finished with 26 tackles and two interceptions.
He graduated from Miami (Fla.) Norland in 2009 and was set for Highland College in Kansas but then decided to take the year off. Dixon showed up at Eastern Arizona for last season and has been picking up offers ever since.
