Dixon takes look at USC

Bryce Dixon recently visited USC for its junior day and the Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure tight end definitely liked the trip.
No offer was presented to arguably one of the top tight ends in the West but Dixon said he's excited about his possible future with the Trojans especially after chatting with a lot of the coaches and seeing the facilities.

"The day was cool," Dixon said. "I got to talk to coach (Lane) Kiffin, coach (John) Baxter, coach (Ed) Orgeron, I got to talk with a lot of coaches so it was tight out there.
"I'm not even sure about an offer. I'm pretty sure they're going to offer me but I have to go out to the camp."
UCLA is definitely a favorite for the 6-foot-4, 230-pound four-star tight end and he also has offers from Arizona, Cal, Colorado, Miami, Ohio State, Vanderbilt and Washington.
USC would be heavily considered especially if the Trojans decide to offer but Dixon said he cannot seriously think about that yet because he hasn't been offered yet.
"I like SC a lot," Dixon said.
"It's in Los Angeles, it's close to home, there is a lot to like basically the same as UCLA. The facility is really nice, too, so I really like that a lot."
There has been new contact from an SEC school that Dixon finds appealing but not much else is going on in his recruitment.
Considerations about an early commitment have been made but with new interest coming in all the time, Dixon said he wants to be sure he's making the right decision especially with fresh SEC looks.
"I've been hearing a lot from Kentucky," Dixon said. "They send me a bunch of hand-written letters telling me they're recruiting me."
