It will be a wait and see game for Marcques Dixon. Dixon, an explosive athlete from Southwest DeKalb High School in Decatur, Georgia, is committed to Tennessee. With Vol head coach Lane Kiffin now headed out west to Southern Cal, where does he stand?
"I am going to remain committed with Tennessee," Dixon explained. "I just want to talk with them and see what's going on. I have spoken with my coaches and I have tried to call coach (Orgeron) O and coach (Lane) Kiffin but I have not heard back. I guess I will just see who they name as a coach and go from there."
Dixon learned of the coaching change just a short time ago while he was at a high school basketball game. His cell phone was blowing up with phone calls and text messages. He finally called his uncle to see what was going on.
"I am in shock, to be honest with you. I just don't know what is going on.
"If things don't work out with Tennessee I am going to make sure I keep my options open. I still have Miami in sight. I am supposed to visit them on January 29th."
Dixon, 5-10 and 182 pounds, is a three-star athlete.
