Dixon plans first official visit

Bryce Dixon helped Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure to post 55 points on the scoreboard Saturday night but his team still lost to Corona (Calif.) Centennial by two touchdowns.
The offense definitely looked good but the defense still needs work as St. Bonaventure moves forward this season.

"The offense is always going to be good," Dixon said.
"It was great but we just need a little bit of work on the defensive side. I do like how things are looking on the offensive side. That was nice."
As for recruiting, Dixon still has the same top five - UCLA, USC, Oregon, Miami and Arizona State - and the four-star tight end has one official visit planned at this point.
"I have one official visit set up to Oregon on October 19," Dixon said. "For other ones, I'm probably going to use those to go further because I've never been out there."
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound standout will get to see the Oregon-Washington State game that weekend in Eugene and Dixon is also hoping to see something else during his trip.
The Ventura St. Bonaventure recruit would like to see Oregon practice just to get a closer look at how the Ducks use their tight ends.
"I'm going to be out there Saturday and Sunday," Dixon said. "I'd love to watch a practice to see how they're using their tight ends. I'd like to see if they flex them out and if they catch a lot of balls."
Despite his list of upcoming official visits, the feeling is that Dixon could stay close to home and end up at either USC or UCLA in the end.
