Dixon looks forward to first official

Rivals250 running back Anthony Dixon out of Terry, Miss. is scheduled to take his first official visit of the season this weekend to Ole Miss. The 6-foot-1, 229-pounder with 4.56-second speed is looking forward to his trip. What does the No. 16 running back in the country hope to find out?
"I'm just going up there to see what it's like and get a feel for it," he said. "My main thought is to see if I fit in there. I've been talking to the coaches for a long time now and I'm not really looking for anything from them. I just want to see the school, meet the players and see what their plans are for the future.

"I like coach Hughes a lot and I've built a really good relationship with him over the whole recruiting process. The main draw for Ole Miss is my relationship with the coaches because previously I never really thought about them until I met the coaches. I like that they are straight forward and tell me the whole deal."
Dixon finished his season last weekend as the Bulldogs lost 27-7 to West Jones.
"It was a heartbreaking loss and a lot closer then it looked as the score was 7-7 with four minutes left, but then our team fell apart," he said. "They returned a punt on us and it was over. I at least finished with 32 carries for 165 yards and one touchdown.
"On the year I ran for 2,669 yards and 32 touchdowns. I was really happy with my season. I had to step up and play the leadership role and I felt I took it head on. This was a really good turnaround for our program because the seasons before I got there we were 2-9, but we finished 11-2 this year."
