Divinity takes SEC visits

Marrero (La.) John Ehret Rivals100 linebacker Michael Divinity has been a well traveled man over the first few weeks of the football season.
His first trip was his official visit to Florida State. The Seminoles set a high bar.

Next, Divinity took his second official visit to Texas A&M. He was hosted by Kendall Bussey, who is also from the New Orleans area, and he soaked in the Texas A&M experience.
"Texas A&M, it was great," Divinity said. "Spending time with coach Sumlin a couple of hours before the game, coach Chavis and sitting in on the defensive meeting, and seeing how the game day process goes from sleeping at the hotel, to waking up in the morning and eating breakfast, to position paperwork and looking at their keys, and then going to watch more film and going to lay down and relax before its time to leave.
"The opener in their stadium that was crazy. The Midnight Yell was crazy. Just being at A&M, I had fun. Spending time with coach Terry and all of them. Especially all the people who helped, all the recruiting people who pick us up and all that, I had so much fun just bonding with them. That was great."
Divinity was also able to gain valuable insight into the life of a Texas A&M player from Bussey and others. He was able to relax and play video games. He met and hung out with regular A&M students, and he saw the academic support system in place.
After checking out every thing in College Station, Divinity enjoyed it all.
"Really what stood out to me was the atmosphere of the whole school - academics, midnight yell, and the game," Divinity said.
Last week he took another SEC visit. He took an unofficial visit to LSU for the Tigers contest with Auburn.
"That was crazy," Divinity said. "I got to sit there and talk to a couple of players before the game. I watched it. The atmosphere was crazy because that game was personal to them and they wanted to make a big impression on everyone that even though they stopped Mississippi State they can stop Auburn's offense too. Then Leonard Fournette, Oh my God! He cut up. If he doesn't win the Heisman they should just stop giving it away.
"It was a wonderful performance on both sides of the ball. I got to spend time with coach Steele after the game, coach Orgeron, coach Peveto, coach Frank (Wilson). it's LSU, I had fun there. I'm just getting ready for the Oregon official next. "
Divinity will visit Oregon this weekend, and he will return to LSU for his official visit October 16. He has not decided who will receive his final official visit. Ole Miss and UCLA are two schools he is deciding between and South Carolina has also been coming on strong.
Divinity will graduate in December.
