"The whole experience was crazy," Divinity said. "I spent time with the players - Derwin James their safety, (Jacques) Patrick the running back - I spent most of my time with the freshmen. I talked to the running back (Dalvin) Cook and spent time talking to the academics people. They showed me a lot of things that raised a lot of eyebrows. Putting stuff on that table that some athlete will ask but they already had it planned out. Talking to all the coaches it was a great, great trip. I had so much fun."
Divinity had an idea about what to expect, but seeing everything in person was a whole different experence.
"I was excited about the whole trip as it got closer and closer to time," Divinity said. "Coach Sanders always told me it's like this and like that. And I'm trying to picture it, but you're not going to know how it is until you visit. When I went out there I was shocked because it's a nice wonderful place. They really don't have any bad things going on and it's fun being there. Once I got to experience it with the players and ride around and tour the campus and find out historical things about the place, it made me realize a lot of things about it. It was great."
Severals aspects of the visit stood out, but a couple of things about the visit stood above the rest .
"Academics first, besides that the dorm rooms. They have three rooms and it's nice," Divinity said. "He doesn't have like individual players, he has different positions together. Like running backs and defensive players together. They bond and it just brings the team together. I like the fact that everything close. Like they can wash their clothes in their apartments. Everything stood out to me. Things you've never seen before, once you get out there and see it you just like it."
Next Divinity will take his official visit to Texas A&M. He also has official visits scheduled to Oregon (Sept. 25) and LSU (Oct. 16). He plans to graduate in December and enroll at his school of choice in January.
