Dismuke talks first offer

Marquel Dismuke had no idea he would be getting his first offer this past weekend.
But when he joined his Team 19 7on7 team on unofficial visits to Arizona State and Arizona, the 2016 defensive back from Carson, Calif., was pleasantly surprised by the Sun Devils.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound prospect talked with the ASU staff, they decided to offer and the Carson standout said he was thrilled by the news.
"It was amazing," Dismuke said.
"I didn't know I was going to get offered until I started talking to the coaches. They pulled me to the side and we started talking and he just told me I had a scholarship so I was happy."
Dismuke, who looked good this past weekend at the Passing Down Elite 7on7 SoCal Regional in Fontana, Calif., said the Arizona State coaches liked his highlight tape and then after seeing him in person decided to follow through with the offer.
It's the first for the 2016 standout.
"They said they saw my highlight tape the day before I went out there," Dismuke said. "They said they liked me so they decided to offer.
"It was nice out there. It was a really nice place."
Dismuke and the Team 19 7on7 team also saw Arizona but the Wildcats decided not to offer. Because his coaches handle his recruitment, the Carson prospect said he's not sure who else is recruiting him at this point.
"I don't really know about the recruiting process," Dismuke said. "I would like to go (to Arizona), too. I like that place."
