DiSanzo makes a decision

Ramsay (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep linebacker Alexander DiSanzo took his one and only official visit this weekend to Boston College. At the end of the trip, the 6-foot-2, 214-pounder was ready to make a decision.
"I took a visit to Boston College and actually committed today," he said. "I committed because I had just wanted to see how much I liked it and knew it was probably the best option for me. I liked the visit and they have a bunch of players from my school there. It just felt right."

Obviously the visit had a lot to do with his commitment. Was there anything that pushed him to decide?
"It was actually a specific thing, the people there," he said. "They were all real nice, even people who didn't know who I was, all the students and everyone.
"I was hosted by Brian Toal. It was good hanging out with him. It was like a Bosco reunion as we hung out with Ryan Lindsay too.
"I also hung out with the coaches. Coach McGovern is a straight up guy and realistic. I see the way Coach Jags handles his players and himself. He's a good all-around guy. I really like him too."
DiSanzo explained his sudden commitment a bit more in-depth.
"Here's the thing," he said. "I was going to wait on other schools, but then I realized Boston College was the only school I honestly thought I'd go to. So I though, why should I wait for something unrealistic."
Boston College is looking at the No. 61 outside linebacker to play defense once he gets to Chestnut Hill. He was unsure about playing time.
"It's not about playing time for me," he said. "This decision was about where I felt comfortable. It's the place for me."
