Dinson mulling pair of early offers

HIALEAH, Fla. -- The recruitment of Joshua Dinson is still firmly in its adolescence. The Hialeah (Fla.) American defensive back is just a sophomore. He won't sign a letter of intent until February of 2017. Then, that means little in modern recruiting.
Dinson already holds a pair of offers and in interested in exploring them. He'll take his time doing so, sure, but it's never too early for a look around. Cincinnati and Kentucky have both offered Dinson a scholarship, and the research has begun.

"I don't know much about them, really," Dinson said. "I visited Kentucky when my brother went up there, and Kentucky is nice. I'm trying to find out more about Cincinnati."
Dinson's older brother, a prospect in the 2015 class, was committed to the Wildcats before breaking that pledge and eventually signing with Auburn. Joshua Dinson is coy when it comes to any desire to follow his sibling to Auburn and has no plans to visit the campus this offseason.
In fact, his summer travel itinerary remains blank.
"I don't really have anything lined up right now," Dinson said. "I can't even decide where I want to visit."
Dinson decline sto name an early leader in his recruitment, saying that Cincinnati and Kentucky are on level footing as things stand. The fact that both schools' campuses are outside of Florida's borders matters not to the 2017 prospect. In fact, he sees that as a perk.
"To me, it doesn't matte where the school is," Dinson said. "I'd actually rather get out of Florida to be honest."
As a sophomore, Dinson helped his American Senior High team to 9-2 record. He plays both cornerback and wide receiver for the Patriots.
