Linebacker Hugh D'Imperio still has a visit to Virginia Tech on his schedule, but the Hokies have their work cut out for them. What's it going to take to sway the Garden State prospect?
"I'm really into Tennessee right now," said the 6-foot-3, 230-pound linebacker from Sewell (N.J.) Washington Township. "I went to Knoxville a week ago and that really opened my eyes. It was just such a great visit. I'm probably leaning in that direction a little bit now, but that could change if I find a better situation."
In addition to his visit to Tennessee, D'Imperio has also taken an official visit to Michigan State (Dec. 12), and the Spartans aren't out of the hunt.
"I'm planning on going to Virginia Tech next weekend (Jan. 30), and that will definitely be my last visit. There might be some coaches that come by before I decide, but I won't go to any other schools. I've narrowed things down to Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Michigan State. But like I said, right now Tennessee is my favorite."
D'Imperio is a 4-star prospect and is rated the No. 17 inside linebacker in the nation.
