Diggs updates his status

For months Rivals250 wide receiver Trevon Diggs had been talking about and building up to a commitment on July 4th. On July 2, the Gaithersburg (Md.) The Avalon School star announced that he was postponing his decision until further notice.

"Basically, a couple days before I was talking with my brother and my mom about it and we thought I should wait it out," said the 6-foot, 188-pound Diggs. "My brother thought it was the best decision to wait and see how everything plays out and I agreed that that's the best way to do it. He is always looking out for what's best for me."
Diggs' brother, former Maryland star Stefon Diggs, was very meticulous through his recruitment and even waited until after National Signing Day to announce his commitment.
The Terps are a major contender for the younger Diggs, but so are Alabama (he will camp in Tuscaloosa on July 13) and a handful of other programs.
"It sounds sort of correct that Maryland and Alabama are in the best spots for me," he said. "I'm going to Alabama on July 13. I'm going to work out there. I'm going to see how other teams look. I'm going to assess some other teams like LSU, Clemson and West Virginia. I just want to see how the teams do this season. I don't want to be in a bad situation. I want to see how their offense looks and things like that.
"The SEC and my relationship with coach (Tony) Ball are big for LSU," Diggs said. "I'm not sure when I'll visit them or Clemson.
"I see at West Virginia that they are a passing team and what Kevin White did," he said. "I feel like I could put myself in that situation too. They could help me be the best I could be also. I've talked to the Adams brothers before but I haven't talked to them in a while."
Some of the places Diggs has visited this summer are Florida, Alabama, Penn State, Maryland and many others.
