Did Usher make it to Cal

Los Angeles (Calif.) Jefferson wide out Austin Usher was hoping to take a visit to Cal this past weekend. His problem was he recently moved and no colleges have been able to get a hold of him.

"Yeah, Cal didn't call me but it's not their fault, I just got a new number that no one has," Usher said. "I wanted to take the visit but I haven't been able to get in touch with anyone there. I'm going to have to wait until they send me a letter and then just get their number that way.

"Arizona is really the only school that has been able to reach me and I'm still on for my visit there on (Jan. 14). It's really those two schools right now and Cal is still my leader. Hopefully I can get a visit set up soon so I can go check them out although I have already seen the campus once before. I camped there this past summer and really liked it."

Usher, 6-3, 190 pounds originally committed to Oregon State but backed off last month. The talented wide out will play in the CaliFlorida Bowl January 2.
