Detroit Crocket Tech two-star inside linebacker John Thompson has been leaning toward Michigan for quite some time. So did he or didn’t he go ahead and commit this weekend on his official visit to Ann Arbor?
“I just got back 30 minutes ago, and it was really nice,” Thompson, who is 6-foot-2 and 230 pounds, said. “Larry Harrison was my host, and I committed. I always liked Michigan, and it was my leader all along. It just felt right this weekend.”

Thompson said his commitment to Michigan is solid, but he said he’s not ruled out taking a scheduled visit to Florida next weekend and a possible visit to Tennessee on January 23.
“I still might visit Florida next weekend,” he said. “And I still might visit Tennessee, but most likely, I’ll sign with Michigan.”
