Did Painter visit Virginia Tech

Rivals100 offensive tackle Vinston Painter was set to head to Virginia Tech for an unofficial visit this past weekend. Did the 6-foot-6, 317-pounder make it to Blacksburg?
"No, something came up and I wasn't able to go," he said. "I had to take care of something.

"Nothing much is going on for me right now. I'll probably be setting up my official visits sometime soon."
The four-star prospect confirmed that Virginia Tech and Florida continue to be the top schools for his services.
"I like Tech because they are in-state and my teammates are there," he stated. "I enjoyed my visit down to Florida and got to meet coach Meyer and the rest of the team. I'm looking at making a decision at the Army All-American game."
At this time, recruiting has taken a back seat to football for Painter.
"Right now I'm getting back into practice and watching film. We had our first game on Friday," he said. "We didn't play as well as we were supposed to. We ended up losing to Phoebus 46-21. We've got to pick it up and go from here.
"I think I played pretty well. I had some pancakes and did alright. Overall, I just want to get better as a team and improve our communication."
Painter and Maury play this week against Woodside.
