Did Irish offer Forsett

Arlington (Texas) Grace Prep two-star all-purpose running back Justin Forsett was scheduled to meet with coaches from Notre Dame and hopefully the 5-foot-8, 175-pound back would come away with an offer. So did he meet the coaches and did he get that offer.
“They came by,” Forsett’s father, Rodney Foresett, said. “They didn’t offer, but they are very, very close. They said they should know where they are with numbers here by the end of the weekend.”

What impressed Foresett is that the Irish sent their running backs coach to visit with him at school today.
“He’s not the recruiter from the area, and he wanted to see the Justin in person. It was a great meeting, and we were all in there for about an hour. We went over everything. They told us that they have two offers out to running backs and they should know this weekend if those two guys are going to go with them or somewhere else.”
And if they do go elsewhere, Foresett will get his offer.
But the Irish aren’t the only team involved in this battle. Along with Notre Dame, UConn (December 5) is heavily involved and Texas Tech has also came into the picture.
“Texas Tech is here tomorrow,” Foresett said. “I’m 99 percent sure they’re going to offer him. They told him they want him to come take a visit, so we’ll definitely do that.”
