Did Illini grab verbal from Peach QB

Illinois appears to have picked up a commitment from one of Georgia’s rising prospects.
Lovejoy quarterback Kisan Flakes took an official visit with the Illini this past weekend, and according to rumblings getting back to his coach, may have given his verbal.

“The word swirling around here that he has committed to Illinois,” Lovejoy coach Al Hughes said. “He called me on his cell phone while he was up there and told me how great it was, and was really, really excited about them – more so than we thought he was going to be.
“They had some snow and ice problems up there, so he didn’t get in until real late last night. I haven’t had a chance to talk to him today, but like I said, the word around here is that he’s committed.”
Hughes said Flakes had one more official visit scheduled for Central Florida this weekend, but did not know what the status of that trip is at this time. He has also been considering Mississippi State and Middle Tennessee.
Flakes (6-0, 190, 4.4) passed for 2,500 yards and 26 touchdowns while rushing for 700 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior.
Academically, he maintains a 3.5 GPA and has a 1000 on the SAT.
