Three-star Gaffney (S.C.) wide receiver Sidney Rice was one of South Carolina’s earliest commitments in this class, and many expected that he might re-affirm that verbal after this weekend’s official visit.
Did that happen?
“No, I’m still undecided,” he said. “But my visit went real well. I enjoyed it a lot. The coaches and players were real to nice to me. I liked getting to sit down and talk one-on-one with the coaches. We had the chance to ask them a bunch of questions and get to know them a little better.”

His host for the weekend was fellow wideout Troy Williamson.
Rice (6-4, 185, 4.55) says he’s focused on USC, Syracuse and Tennessee as signing day draws near. He’s visited the Gamecocks and Orangemen. A trip to Knoxville may be coming this week, but he said nothing is set in stone.
“I won’t announce my decision until signing day,” he said. “I think I’ll need all of that time to decide.”
Rice is rated the No. 54 wide receiver in the nation by Rivals.com.
