Did Everett Pull the Trigger

There has been various reports that West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade wide receiver Marcus Everett committed earlier today to UCLA. We heard that Everett did indeed call the Bruin coaches to give his commitment but the talented athlete is at Duke this weekend so we’ll hold off on announcing anything until we can get it from the player himself.
“He’ll be home tomorrow and I’ll let you hear things from him,” Everett’s father said. “UCLA has been his top school for some time now and he likes the idea of learning from a former NFL receiver coach like Karl Dorrell. I’m not sure exactly when he gets in but when he does, I’m sure he’ll be happy to tell his story if he has committed or not.
Everett took his official visits to UCLA, Oregon and Washington State and was considering taking visits to Boston College and possibly Notre Dame. The trip to Duke was kind of a spur of the moment thing and it sounds like it will be the last visit he takes. We’ll have more on Everett when he returns home tomorrow.
