Did Canada pull the trigger

We spoke to Monrovia (Calif.) athlete Jesse Canada last weekend about the time frame of his decision. The talented receiver told us his top school, the Cal Bears, were coming in to his home on Wednesday and if he got his questions answered, he could commit on the spot. So is he a Bear?
"Yeah, I committed to Cal," Canada said. "It was them and Oregon but Cal has been my leader for the past couple of weeks and Coach Tedford really sold me on the program and the direction of the program. Once he signed his five year extension, that just about did it for me, now I know he'll be there my whole time at Cal."

Canada, 6-1, 180 pounds is a talented two way performer who could play receiver or defensive back in college but was recruited to play receiver for the Bears. He also took visits to Oregon, Washington State and Oregon State and had offers from UCLA, Pittsburgh, Arizona State and San Diego State.
"I'm excited because it was a pretty big weight on my shoulders," Canada said. "I love the system at Cal and they have a big need for receivers. Coach Kiesau was in our house last night and he was able to answer all my questions. It was mostly little things like the dorm situation and other things like that. Cal is just a great overall fit for me and I think I'll be able to contribute there right away."
