Dibrell commits to the Mean Green

San Antonio (Texas) Alamo Heights receiver Sam Dibrell couldn't pass on a chance to play at North Texas.
When the 6-foot-2, 198-pounder found out that Todd Dodge from Southlake (Texas) Carroll was taking his spread offense to UNT, Dibrell felt like it was a perfect fit. That's why he gave the Mean Green his commitment earlier this month, but says that the door isn't completely closed yet.

"The No. 1 reason was because coach Dodge was there and with that winning record he's had at Carroll," Dibrell said. "That fits me because the spread offense is what we ran in high school.
"I was really excited about it."
Dibrell says that he's a solid commitment. However, he doesn't want to complete shut down all of his options yet.
"I did give them a solid verbal, but at the same time, I have to keep my options somewhat open until February," Dibrell said.
Texas State and New Mexico State are his two other scholarship offers at this time.
