Detroit star lands three Big Ten offers

There are several major college prospects at Detroit (Mich.) DePorres, and Anthony Bowman stands at the top of the list. The 5-foot-10 and 170 pounder is drawing interest from recruiters from some outstanding schools including at least three that have offered a scholarship.
"I'm not sure how many scholarship offers I have," Bowman said. "Illinois, Northwestern, and Purdue, those are the ones I know of off the top of my head. My coach told me about those three.

"I'm interested in Wisconsin, Northwestern, Purdue, Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois.
"I went to a junior day at Notre Dame awhile ago. I'm supposed to go to some camps this summer, but I'm not sure which ones.
"I talked to coaches from Purdue and Northwestern. They both came to my school. And Wisconsin and Purdue called."
Asked about his favorites, Bowman said, "Wisconsin, Purdue, and Northwestern."
Bowman has played both wide receiver and running back. He rushed for 927 yards and had 422 receiving during his junior season. He is being recruited primarily as a wide receiver.
