The Latest: Sometimes when recruits make a commitment very early in the process, it can lead to them wanting to test the water again later down the line. But that isn't the case for four-star Washington tight end commit Hunter Bryant. The talented pass-catcher has received interest from schools all over the country, but recently said he has no plans of entertaining any other offers. Rivals.com caught up with Bryant to talk about his status with the Huskies and why he's so comfortable with his decision.
In His Words: "The coaching staff at Washington is what really set them apart. I had offers from USC, Oklahoma, Auburn and stuff like that but Coach Peterson and the coaching staff that he built and the mentality that he brought to UW, I just fell it love with it. I haven't seen that anywhere else. That's definitely the place that I'm going. I think they're going to do amazing this year, they've got a lot of guys coming in that can play and I'm just really excited about where the program is heading. Coach Peterson is really building something that can last -- just like the old days when they were really good. That's big for me, just going there and being a part of getting it back to where it used to be. Schools are still calling me but I'm telling them all that I'm just shutting down my recruitment and I'm a Dawg."
Rivals Reaction: It's not surprising to see Bryant locked in with his hometown school but in the current recruiting climate it's rare to see a player who will rule out all future visits. Washington fans should be thrilled to have Bryant in the fold and can likely expect him to play a big part in helping recruiting other players to join him in Seattle.
