DeSoto star picks Big 12

When asked how his official visit to Oklahoma State went this weekend, DeSoto, Texas, linebacker Victor DeGrate played it cool at first.

"It went good," he said. "It was all right."
Then he all of a sudden perked up.
"I'm going there," he said. "I committed to coach Miles and coach Porter today before I left. I'm going to Oklahoma State."
DeGrate is a huge pickup for the Cowboys on a weekend when they also landed one of the state of Oklahoma's top linebackers, Lorenzo Williams.
"Oklahoma State is a really good school," DeGreate, the nation's No. 19 inside linebacker, said. "They're a school that's on their way up to the top. They have the Big 12 coach of the year and it's not like they're going to go down from here.
"They whipped Oklahoma a few weeks ago, and it's a program that's going to be winning a lot of games from now on."
DeGrate said he is very solid on his decision, will not take any other visits and has already began to add a little OSU orange to his wordrobe.
"I bought a T-shirt and a hat," the 6-foot-4, 232-pounder, said. "My mom and my dad also bought T-shirts. We're all very excited about the decision."
DeGrate was slated to visit Kansas and Missour the next two weekends and also had offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
