DeSoto makes in-state commit
North Texas continues to put together their 2007 class with several late pieces to the puzzle like defensive tackle Jesse DeSoto.
The 6-foot-1, 280-pounder visited the campus in Denton, Texas this past weekend and enjoyed everything enough to choose the Mean Green over a pair of other offers.

"They're rebuilding up there and I just thought it was going to be an awesome place to be in the next couple of years," DeSoto said. "I was also looking at Navy and Missouri. Overall as a coaching staff, I just liked what I saw."
DeSoto says that campus and facility improvements also impressed him.
"It's getting huge," DeSoto said. "They just keep making improvements and everything."
As for playing time, DeSoto says he'll have to see how things go at practice. Regardless, this is certainly his final choice.
"I think I'm done," he said. "UNT is it for me."
