Statistics: Rauschelbach has been a two-year starter and has completed more than 64 percent of his passes, thrown for 41 touchdowns with only 14 interceptions.
Favorite Schools: Rauschelbach lists Oregon, Nebraska, Colorado and Kansas State as his top teams. He has no scholarship offers at this point.
Skinny: Denver Mullen coach Dave Logan has never been one to feed people a line about how good his players are, so when he says that pro-style quarterback Conor Rauschelbach is a solid prospect you know that Rauschelbach must be a solid prospect.
And if you ask Rauschelbach, he believes he brings a lot to the table for a college program.
“I’m a winner,” he said.
“Whatever school I go to, we are going to win. I’m a leader on any team I have been on. I have tried to raise the bar for level of performance on my to make everyone better. I am a total team player. I’m a true, fierce competitor.”
Other than that, Rauschelbach has a lot of other skills that college coaches will be excited about. He showcases a strong arm and a definite command for a pro-style offense. And you can see why his sports heroes are guys like Joey Harrington, David Carr and most of all Rich Gannon.
So what will be important in Rauschelbach’s decision?
“The first thing is the coaching staff,” he said. “I’m also going to look at what kind of education I can get and listen to what my parents think.”
And Rauschelbach’s parents should know a thing or two about being successful in college football. His stepfather is former NFL all-pro cornerback Albert Lewis.
