Demond Dennis is a running back prospect from Atlanta (Ga.) Carver High School. Dennis 5-9 and 196 pounds, was previously committed to Georgia Tech. Now he's headed to Troy.

"The big difference between Tech and Troy was my opportunity to play as a true freshman," Dennis said. "It's close to home and just a better opportunity at Troy. I went down for a visit and fell in love with the place and the coaching staff. They are cool dudes and very straight forward with you."

Dennis had a big senior season, rushing for 1,627 yards (125 carries) and scored 20 touchdowns.

"I am more like a scat back but I can surprise you with my power."
