Demps digs LSU visit

Pensacola (Fla.) Washington four-star inside linebacker Jon Demps has long thought to be a big-time battle between Florida State and LSU with Miami and Auburn also in the mix. Well, the LSU Tigers rolled out the big guns this weekend on Demps official visit and it paid off with a visit that he won’t forget any time soon.
“A 10,” he said. “A perfect 10 – that’s what the visit was. I didn’t commit or anything, but I really loved my time there. I got to spend a lot of personal time with coach (Nick) Saban and he talked to me about what it’s like to get a great degree from a place like LSU, and what it’s like to be a student athlete.”

Demps said he was hosted on the visit by fellow Floridian Dwayne Bowe. Even though his brother is there and could have hosted him, Demps said he wanted to spend time with guys he normally doesn’t hang out with to get to know them better.
“We just chilled at Dwayne’s apartment and hung out,” he said. “That was tight. All of us guys just had a good time hanging out.”
Demps is scheduled to visit Miami on December 17, followed by visits to Florida State on January 7 and Ole Miss is tentatively set for January 21, but that could change if the Rebels don’t get a coach in place soon.
