Dembry has a great time at Wake Forest

Ahoskie (N.C.) Hertford County quarterback Danny Dembry took his second official visit last weekend to Wake Forest. Up to this point, the 6-foot-3, 182-pounder hadn't received an offer from the Demon Deacons. Did Jim Grobe and Wake Forest finally pull the trigger?
"The visit was great," he said. "I had a lot of fun. I basically did everything you normally do on an official visit. They showed me the facilities, academic areas, I met with my host and he showed me a good time.

"My host was Chip Vaughn. It was great with him. He answered all my questions and really showed me how everyone on the team sticks together which was cool."
Dembry met with quite a few of the coaches including ACC coach of the year Jim Grobe.
"I pretty much talked with everyone," he said. "I mostly talked to ocach Billings, the wide receivers coach since that's what they are recruiting me as. He told me that they obviously use a lot of trick lays and my ability to throw the ball would fit in perfectly at Wake.
"After talking to him, I met with coach Grobe. He told me the same thing and was a real down-to-earth guy. He also did discuss my possible offer. He said he'd let me know by the end of the week. He's supposed to show up at my basketball game Friday night. I think it looks like they probably will offer because they really want me bad."
Asked how that would change things if the Demon Deacons offered, the two-star prospect replied.
"I can't really say, but if they do offer they'd probably lead."
