DeMatha LB pulls offer, busy with visits

Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha linebacker Darien Harris collected his second scholarship recently. The 6-foot-1, 210-pounder also took an unofficial visit to one ACC school not too long ago.
"Over spring break last week I got an offer from East Carolina," he said. "That is my second offer.

"It was good to get the offer from a different area. I had one from the north in Syracuse and now one more south from ECU. Hopefully more will be coming now.
"I talked to the coaches at East Carolina and I had a trip scheduled, but I wasn't able to make it."
Harris did make a trip to Boston College last weekend though.
"I went up for their junior day and it was really nice to see their campus," he said. "The coaches said they saw my transcript and they'll definitely be evaluating further in May when they can come out."
Next up for Harris is a trip to another school this weekend.
"I'm headed to Marshall for their spring game on Saturday," he said. "They mentioned there will be a lot of alumni on campus including Randy Moss. I hope I get a chance to run into him. I don't know a lot about them though except for the fact they have a rich tradition and the movie."
Harris confirmed he plans to head to the Nike Camp at Virginia Tech in a couple weeks and plans to visit the school before the event on Friday.
