Back in February, offensive tackle Gifford Timothy out of Middletown, Dela. held four offers. The 6-foot-7, 288-pound lineman continues to hold those and may be on the verge of more scholarships soon.
"He's just getting his highlight video done," Timothy's father, Ian said. "He just finished basketball last week too and interest is picking up.
"Alabama wants to recruit him and Princeton is engaging him along with Utah. Illinois came to the school and has sent a lot of paperwork. Colleges keep talking, but he has the same four offers, BYU, Maryland, Rutgers and Boise State."
His father believes one other school may be close to offering.
"Penn State is waiting to offer, they want to see his highlight tape."
Are visits on the horizon for Timothy?
"Utah wants him to come out for a visit, so we'll probably go there this summer and do that. We'll probably camp at Penn State too," he said. "We will probably go to Penn State junior day next month as well.
"Overall things are looking good for him. When he gets to it we'll weight the pros and cons and make a decision that is in the best interest of Timothy."
