Delaware OL looking west

Khaliel Rodgers is one of Delaware's top junior prospects and he's out on the west coast visiting a pair of schools that have shown early interest.
Over the past couple of days Rodgers has visited UCLA and USC. In fact, he's planning on taking in the annual rivalry game between the Bruins and the Trojans later this evening.

"I just came back from visiting UCLA and it was amazing," Rodgers said. "I'll know by tomorrow whether they plan on offering me. Most likely they will and USC probably will, too."
Only time will tell if it plays out like that but Rodgers already has an offer from UConn and at 6-foot-3 and 300-pounds he's one of the more physically impressive offensive guards or center prospects on the east coast.
"It's my first time ever being on the west coast," he continued. "Temperature wise it's different. I visited USC, too, and I think both colleges are amazing. It's a big rivalry over here and I'm glad to be a part of it."
Rodgers said he's hearing from schools from all the Big East schools, most of the SEC and several Pac 12 programs.
"Auburn wants to see my highlights from this year but my coach knows more (about the schools recruiting him).
"My highlight tape will be out this month or next so we'll see what happens," he said.
Rodgers also noted that a coach from Virginia has been by Bear (Dela.) Red Lion Christian Academy to visit both he and some other prospects at the school.
"I'm interested in any school that likes me. I'm still going through one more year of high school football and waiting it out to see what comes.
"Academics always come first. I've got to find something that will fit me academically. Then I need an environment that fits me, too. I want a great (coaching) staff as well."
