Dekle still patient after new offer

At 5-0, Statesboro (Ga.) defensive tackle Alex Dekle and the rest of the front four for the high school team's defense should credit themselves considering through their five wins only one school has scored on them.
The three-star rated Dekle is all about team unity and is quick to not credit his personal play, but the entire defensive line. The 6-foot-1, 262-pound No. 66 rated defensive tackle in the country even shared the blame when they were scored on the first time. However, his own personal play has him thinking about visits with a new offer under his belt.

"Clemson offered last week," Dekle said. "I haven't heard to much about them, but I'm really looking into that school along with others. I'm thinking about them along with Mississippi State and Ole Miss for a visit."
For a long time, it was a Big Ten team making a strong push for the Southeast defender but things may be evening out.
"Ohio State was just a team who was coming at me hard at the time," Dekle said. "I don't really have a favorite team. It's about the same and I don't really even have a top five. I'm looking at everybody right now."
With a decision set for January on Dekle's mind, his first priority is academics, not just athletics.
"I want to see which school will help me be a good student," Dekle said. "I've got to see who's going to give me the best academic help. From that standpoint, I'm also waiting to see if anymore schools start coming after me and then I'll take it from there."
