Dejuan Clark is MWC Bound

In a decision he said was very tough and very stressful, Los Angeles (Calif.) Fremont offensive lineman Dejuan Clark has committed to UNLV. Clark tripped to UNLV and Oregon State before choosing the Rebels.
“It was very, very stressful for me,” Clark said. “This was a huge decision for me and I just wanted to make sure I was making the right one. I did my homework and I feel good about it. Both schools were great and I had a good time on both of my visits but UNLV was the place where I could grow the most as a player and as a person.

“I love the atmosphere at UNLV. It’s a fun place but at the same time, it’s a serious place and they have big plans for making the football program an elite place to be. I love the coaching staff, not just my position coach but all of the coaches and John Robinson is kind of a legend. He was one of the most impressive people I’ve ever met and he has had a lot of success throughout his career at putting offensive linemen in to the League (NFL) and that’s my goal as well.
“I just liked the commitment I saw from everyone associated with the program and felt it was a place that suits me well. I’m excited about it and feel I’ll do some good things there.”
Clark, 6-3, 290 pounds played in the CaliFlorida Bowl last January and is a good looking guard prospect. He’s tough, physical and very coachable. He still has some work to do academically and is retaking the ACT later this month. He has all of his core classes taken care of but is taking night classes in order to raise his GPA higher so he doesn’t need to score as high on the test.
