DeGeare all set for final visits

Kernersville (N.C.) R.B. Glenn offensive lineman Chris DeGeare took the first of his official visits a few weeks back as he visited Blacksburg to see Virginia Tech take on North Carolina State. DeGeare has set up visit dates to three other schools later in the season.
“I’ll visit Wake Forest next on Oct. 23rd when they play Florida State,” explained DeGeare. “I’m also going down to South Carolina Oct. 30th when they play Tennessee, and Tennessee Nov. 6th when they play Notre Dame.

Regarding his trip to Blacksburg, DeGeare shared these comments.
“It was a good trip, the stadium atmosphere is great there,” admitted DeGeare. “It was disappointing to see them lose the game on the final kick, but it was a great game to watch.”
DeGeare is looking strongly at both a school’s football program, as well as the academic performance of the school.
“I’m looking to study radiology or zoology, so academics are a priority for me,” stated DeGeare. “My comfort level with the coaches as well as the football program as a whole will also weigh in on my decision. Location could come into play also.”
Following DeGeare’s trip to Knoxville, a decision where he will play his college ball may not be far off.
“I’d like to decide sometime in the middle of November,” said DeGeare. “I’ll have seen what I need to see at that point and there is no reason to drag things out.”
DeGeare and his teammates are having a good season in 2004 winning six straight following a 27-21 loss to North Forsyth the first game of the season. Glenn returns to action Friday night as they host Dudley.
