Defensive POY sets two new trips

Nevada State Defensive Player of Year defensive lineman/offensive lineman Derek Kosub (6-4, 295, 5.1) from Reno (Nev.) Hug has seen a recent bump in his stock and his recruiting activity is picking up steam.
"I've just set two new visits," Kosub said. "I will trip San Diego State this weekend (Jan. 20th) and Boise State the week after (Jan.27th)."

"My coach just sent out my highlight tape to Oregon, Oregon State, Michigan State and Wisconsin," Kosub said. "My coach said that he wouldn't be surprised if more schools don't jump on me."
Kosub ended up accounting for 60 tackles, eight sacks, eight tackles for loss, four fumbles caused, fumble recoveries and one pick that he returned 47 yards as a senior.
Kosub brings a lot of versatility to the table. He projects on the D-I level as defensive tackle or run stopping defensive end if he ends up playing on the defensive side of the ball.
If Kosub ends up playing offense he could end up playing center or guard.
"I don't care where I play when I get to college," Kosub said. "I just want to help the team and get on the field as soon as possible."
