Defensive end names a clear favorite

Texas defensive end (6-foot-4, 230 pounds) Michael Borders, who runs a 4.7-second 40-yard dash, has had football coaches from Oklahoma, Toledo, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt and Baylor visit his Tatum High School football coach during the month of May.
One school seems to have emerged as the favorite.

"SMU and Texas A&M are recruiting the hardest and A&M would be the favorite, if I had to commit today," Borders said.
However, the Mustangs and the Aggies have yet to offer Borders a scholarship.
He made an unofficial visit to Southern Methodist this spring and he plans to attend summer football camps at Texas Christian, Texas A&M and Southern Methodist.
He has upped his bench to 315 pounds and his vertical leap to 31 inches.
