Deeks has busy summer ahead

It's going to be a busy summer for Lochlin Deeks and with only one offer so far the Salem (Ore.) West Salem defensive end wants to visit a bunch of schools and show coaching staffs his abilities.
Deeks, a 6-foot-3, 241-pound recruit who has an Air Force offer, said he plans to attend camps at Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Boise State, Washington State and finish off at Idaho. He said Cal and UCLA have also been showing interest.

"A lot of the coaches have asked for film and a lot of them want me to come down to their camps," Deeks said.
"I'm really excited. I love going to new schools and new places and checking out new campuses and seeing what they have to offer and everything."
Deeks attended the Eugene NIKE Camp this past weekend and he was one of the top underclassmen at the same camp this time last year but recruiting really hasn't picked up much traction yet.
That could definitely change over the next month or so as Deeks gets out to more camps and coaches can see him in action. For the West Salem prospect, it is a crucial time in the recruiting process.
"It's a big deal to me because I know I have a chance to get an offer from those schools," Deeks said.
Air Force offered about a month ago and while Deeks is focused on his upcoming camp schedule there is definitely some interest in the Falcons.
He's talked with coach Troy Calhoun numerous times and said Air Force is definitely a possibility but he wants to see what happens this summer, too.
"I'm pretty serious about it," Deeks said. "The school is amazing. I've talked to coach Calhoun quite a few times and I'm considering them. That's a pretty cool school."
